Air conditioning in Geilenkirchen: fitted, wired, commissioned

Core drilling, refrigerant lines, condensate run and the electrical connection all come from one company. You talk to the people who will also start the system up.

How to recognise a clean installation

An air conditioner is quickly hung on a wall. What keeps it quiet and dry for years are five decisions taken before the first hole is drilled.

  1. 01

The wall penetration is settled before installation day

Where the core hole sits decides the route of the lines, the fall of the condensate and what lies behind the wall. We settle that during the site visit, not with a drill already in hand.

  2. 02

The refrigerant line is flared, never crushed

Length, bend radius and insulation follow the data sheet of the unit. Every joint is flared properly and tightened to the torque the manufacturer specifies.

  3. 03

The condensate runs away on a fall

Without a continuous fall, water stands in the pipe. We route the drain so that it empties itself and use a pump only where the building leaves no other option.

  4. 04

The power comes from a circuit of its own

We look at the consumer unit, define the supply cable and carry out the connection ourselves as an electrical company. That saves a second firm and the appointments in between.

  5. 05

It ends with balancing and an explanation

After evacuation and the leak test the system runs in trial mode. You receive the documents and a briefing on operation, filters and winter use.

02Process

From the first call to trial operation

Five steps, in this order. After the first appointment you know what will be done, and after the last one you know how to run the system.

  1. 01

    Site visit

We look at the room, the facade, the route for the lines and the consumer unit. That is where things surface which nobody can describe on the phone.

  2. 02

    Unit proposal and quote

You receive in writing which unit we propose, where it sits, how the line runs and what the installation covers.

  3. 03

    Installation day

Core drilling, indoor unit, outdoor unit, refrigerant line and electrical connection. For a single system that is often one appointment.

  4. 04

    Vacuum and leak test

The line is evacuated and tested before any refrigerant enters the circuit. This step decides how long the system will last.

  5. 05

    Handover

Trial run, balancing, documents and a briefing that still makes sense in the third year of use.

What happens at each step is put in writing. You do not have to memorise anything.

What we install in Geilenkirchen

From a single bedroom to a floor of offices. Which type fits depends on the size of the room, on the facade and on how many rooms are to be served.

Single split

One indoor unit, one outdoor unit, one refrigerant line. The usual answer for a bedroom, an office under the roof or a small plant room.

Multi split

Several indoor units on one outdoor unit. Sensible when two to five rooms are served and the facade offers only one place for the outdoor unit.

Split system with heating

The same system heats in winter through the heat pump function of the unit. Whether that carries your room is something we assess on site.

Floor, cassette and ducted units

Where a wall unit does not fit, a floor unit under the window, a cassette in a suspended ceiling or a ducted unit behind the lining comes into question.

Servicing and cleaning

Filters, fins and the condensate run are cleaned, the system is checked for tightness and function. That keeps consumption down and the air clean.

Electrics for the system

Supply cable, protection and the connection in the consumer unit are our own work, because this company comes from electrical engineering.

Which type suits your rooms is something we tell you after the site visit.

07Questions

Straight answers about air conditioning

The questions that come up at almost every site visit, with the answer we give there.

How long does an installation take?

A single split system is often finished in a day. Several indoor units, long pipe runs or a difficult wall penetration need more time. What applies in your case we say after the site visit.

Does air conditioning need a circuit of its own?

As a rule, yes. We look at the consumer unit and define the supply cable and the protective device that are needed. The connection is our own work.

Can air conditioning also heat?

Many split units heat through the heat pump function. In well insulated rooms that is often enough for the shoulder seasons. Whether it can replace your heating depends on the building and is settled on site.

How loud is such a system?

The sound figures are in the data sheet of the particular unit. For bedrooms we choose units with a quiet night mode and agree the position of the outdoor unit with you, so that neither you nor the neighbours are disturbed.

What applies in a rented flat?

For the wall penetration and for an outdoor unit on the facade you need the consent of the owner. Please settle that before the installation date, otherwise the system stays in the hallway.

What does air conditioning cost?

That depends on the unit, the number of indoor units, the pipe run and the electrical work. So we do not name a figure on the phone. You receive a written quote after the site visit.

Does a system have to be serviced?

Yes. Filters and heat exchangers clog up, which costs output and electricity. Regular cleaning and a visual check of the refrigerant circuit keep the system in shape.
